What Inspires You?

Today I realized many of my posts as of late have been about topics that are a little more down and thought it would be a nice change of pace to share what else has been on my mind.

This morning I went on a walk — it was a perfect, crisp 58 degrees. The sun was bright, the sky a deep blue without a cloud in sight. It was the kind of weather that makes my soul sing — the kind of day I get to wear my favorite clothes combo: shorts and a sweatshirt. I didn’t bring my headphones, my phone stayed on my nightstand, nor did anyone tag along (Jared, *ahem). But it was such a delight. My mind wandered. I prayed. I pondered. I listened to the birds chirping, the squirrels scurrying, and the light rustle of the trees. Spring is here — and my heart really welcomes it.

It got me thinking about being inspired — why don’t we do more of the things that inspire us?

Of course my walk provided me with much needed endorphins, sunlight, and exercise, but it’s so much more than that. Enjoying nature inspires me to create, to breathe, to be in the moment.

What inspires you?

Recently I purchased a really cool National Parks adult coloring book. It’s been really therapeutic to sit down with calm music and just let my mind take a break with some colored pencils. I’ve always been interested in adult coloring books but felt like they were a little cheesy — well, who cares. Sometimes it’s okay to be cheesy. 😊

So, on this beautiful Friday morning, I encourage you: do what inspires you this weekend and be refreshed.

Talk soon,
Sarah ☕️
